Glimmerman is a London based producer with releases on Egregore Collective, N-FACE, First Second Label and Woozy. His track Alleged Jinx was first heard at Corsica during the I.JORDAN event.

A few words from the producer:

"I came up with the bones of this track after a night out (Scalping at the Village Underground, to be exact - cracking times!). I pen all of my productions in Ableton, although I used to be an FL head. After 8 years of super unorganized mixdowns, I made the switch and haven't looked back yet.The track itself revolves around a baseline from Massive X, which is a synth I tend to come back to pretty regularly these days. It's great for full-bodied, forward-thinking sounds.

The majority of the drums come from Ableton's drum racks, and any other synth work is done with Massive X in this case. Vocals and odd sampley bits are obtained from Splice by inputting the track's key and scrolling for a few hours. I'm not so into Splice currently and have switched to more traditional sampling methods, as I began to find the available samples a bit stale and lacking a personal touch. However, it is a great tool at times, I just wouldn't rely on it entirely as you'll struggle to establish your own sound.

Alternatively, I've gotten back into sampling vinyl/CDs and even wiring up my audio inputs so I can sample directly from YouTube. This is great for quickly gathering a ton of weird, obscure samples for resampling vibes.The arrangement of the track is the next challenge for myself and definitely the thing I find most difficult from production to production. Hopefully, I can nail it down in the coming weeks and get it out as soon as possible!"
