Preamble | Wu-Lu

Now more of an epilogue, however, as per CDR session usual, we spoke to Wu-Lu is at ahead of his session at Rye Wax

How has your music production process evolved over time?

Getting stuck into ways of working has always been something that I fall into, so to try and change it up I feel that going to other parts of the world help me to look at making music differently. With my set up growing and decreasing in size sometimes, it has made to focus my efforts of different parts of Ableton and using other instruments that would be available to me at the time... i.e my voice guitars.. etc..

What key changes have you seen in the music industry/bidness during your time making records? Is independent the only way to go? Are 2018 tryin’ times?

I feel that independent generation is at its best at the moment, like anything there are pros and cons, the main this is that people are able to build their own platform, fan base and be successful and that is grate. I think there is something to be said about Major / Major indie Labels are always going to about but it feels like with this shift in focus there is going to be alot more scope to having a more compromised approach to the way music is negotiated between the artist and the label.
