JD. REID is the forward-thinking producer and DJ blurring musical lines at will. Hailing from North West London and with a catalogue steeped in hip-hop, trap, jazz, pop and more, JD represents the melting pot that is his London home, connecting the dots and bridging the gaps between genres. Through releases on Terrorhythm, Rinse, Soulection and most recently his own BABY GRAVY label imprint, his musical tapestry has evolved and expanded in real time.

As a producer, JD has achieved double platinum status and amassed over 750 million global streams combined. His CV encompasses cuts with the likes of Mahalia, Sudan Archives, Mabel, Kelela, jerry (aka Hodgy Beats), Ms Banks, Celeste, Yazmin Lacey, Jeshi, Sinéad Harnett, Biig Piig and Kojey Radical to name a few. He has tasted both commercial and critical success scoring a top 10 on the UK Singles Chart with Mabel’s smash hit ‘Finders Keepers’.

Join us for an immersive conversation with JD. Reid and submit your own music  – at any stage – for openCDR and the opportunity to hear it on  Corsica Studio’s soundsystem.

CDR Sessions are our flagship event series featuring an in-depth, production focused interview with a guest artist, exploring their career and creative process. Each Session starts and ends with openCDR, where producers and artists of all levels and abilities have the opportunity to play their own music on some of the best club soundsystems across the UK. All genres and styles welcomed!

Join our supportive community of producers, artists and music enthusiasts, and learn some transformative techniques along the way.

Lastly, we are a small, grassroots organisation and we are able to carry out our work through the generosity of our funders and community. There is a free signup option to ensure our events are as accessible as possible, particularly for those who are on a low income or not in work. If you can afford to donate, please consider purchasing a donation ticket at the recommended suggestion of £5, your support is vital to our growth. Here’s to an equitable future!
