Bok Bok
A household name in underground club music, London’s Bok Bok heads up seminal and quietly influential label Night Slugs with L-Vis 1990 aka Dance System, who have graced us with renowned producers from the U.K. and across the pond, including Jam City, Lektor Scopes and Sweyn J.
As a DJ, producer, remixer, Bok Bok has a plethora of releases ranging from grime to club to more atmospheric RnB, with “Melba’s Call” featuring Kelela hailed as one of the best tracks of 2014. Their productions have featured on Sound Pellegrino, Night Voyage, Dress To Sweat and of course, Night Slugs.
With over 15 years of production experience, we’re thrilled to be welcoming him to London’s Corsica Studios to share his decades long knowledge with us and for a deep dive into his creative process.
For those new to CDR Sessions, the event centres on an in-depth, production focussed interview with the guest artist, exploring their career and creative process. Our events are for all music lovers, producers and non-producers alike. The talk is flanked by ‘OpenCDR’ - a DJ set of audience music submissions. This is a chance for music makers to:
Hear your own music on an amazing club sound system
Artists of all experience levels welcome
No restrictions - all genres & styles welcome
Bring your music at any stage of development - from rough idea to final master, and everything in between
Join a supportive community of artists & producers

Keep up to date on all things CDR
Since we started back in 2001, CDR has been all about community, creating spaces for people to connect and develop through music.
Back in the Plastic People days, you could fit all of us in one small room around one soundsystem. Today, our projects and programmes extend from the dancefloor to schools, youth centres, as well as grassroots clubs and venues across the country and further afield. But in challenging times, with grassroots organisations like ours closing all around us, every bit of support counts.
Your help will enable us to continue delivering music programmes and events in the UK to the people who need it most. Our mission is simple: to build an equitable music ecosystem for producers and artists.
