Last November we were joined by producers Shy One and Scratcha DVA at The Glove That Fits in North London for a truly insightful and funny conversation. The pair delved deep into Scratcha’s career – starting in the early 2000s when he worked as an engineer at a studio frequented by the likes of Wiley, Kano and Skepta, touching on his popular morning radio show ‘Grimey Breakfast’ on Rinse FM, and also chatting about his output on Hyperdub and his own labels DVA Music and Allyallrecords.
Scratcha then talks us through the creation of one of his recent remixes ‘Dirty Cash (Reprise)’ with Karen Nyame KG and previews an unreleased track featuring Lady Lykez, Logan, Jammz and Dizzle Kid.

Keep up to date on all things CDR
Since we started back in 2001, CDR has been all about community, creating spaces for people to connect and develop through music.
Back in the Plastic People days, you could fit all of us in one small room around one soundsystem. Today, our projects and programmes extend from the dancefloor to schools, youth centres, as well as grassroots clubs and venues across the country and further afield. But in challenging times, with grassroots organisations like ours closing all around us, every bit of support counts.
Your help will enable us to continue delivering music programmes and events in the UK to the people who need it most. Our mission is simple: to build an equitable music ecosystem for producers and artists.
