Artist Talk | Parris
Parris joins us for a glimpse into his world of club rooted pop and expansive rhythms in this Artist Talk.
From an early age Parris dedicated himself to club culture, never missing a week at FWD>>, the club night where a generation of bass and techno DJs made their names and was constantly tuning into Rinse FM. Immersing himself into the distinct sound of London built the foundations of the productions we hear today, with grime and drum & bass bubbling alongside slick pop references. With a string of crucial 12"s on labels like Hemlock Recordings, The Trilogy Tapes and Wisdom Teeth, 2021 saw the release of Parris' debut album, Soaked In Indigo Moonlight, on can you feel the sun, a label he runs with Call Super.

Keep up to date on all things CDR
Since we started back in 2001, CDR has been all about community, creating spaces for people to connect and develop through music.
Back in the Plastic People days, you could fit all of us in one small room around one soundsystem. Today, our projects and programmes extend from the dancefloor to schools, youth centres, as well as grassroots clubs and venues across the country and further afield. But in challenging times, with grassroots organisations like ours closing all around us, every bit of support counts.
Your help will enable us to continue delivering music programmes and events in the UK to the people who need it most. Our mission is simple: to build an equitable music ecosystem for producers and artists.
