Artist Talk | Bok Bok
A household name in underground club music, London’s Bok Bok heads up seminal and quietly influential label Night Slugs with L-Vis 1990 aka Dance System, who have graced us with renowned producers from the U.K. and across the pond, including Jam City, Lektor Scopes and Sweyn J.
As a DJ, producer, remixer, Bok Bok has a plethora of releases ranging from grime to club to more atmospheric RnB, with “Melba’s Call” featuring Kelela hailed as one of the best tracks of 2014. Their productions have featured on Sound Pellegrino, Night Voyage, Dress To Sweat and of course, Night Slugs.
With over 15 years of production experience, we’re thrilled to have welcomed them to London’s Corsica Studios to share their decades long knowledge with us and for a deep dive into their creative process.

Keep up to date on all things CDR
Since we started back in 2001, CDR has been all about community, creating spaces for people to connect and develop through music.
Back in the Plastic People days, you could fit all of us in one small room around one soundsystem. Today, our projects and programmes extend from the dancefloor to schools, youth centres, as well as grassroots clubs and venues across the country and further afield. But in challenging times, with grassroots organisations like ours closing all around us, every bit of support counts.
Your help will enable us to continue delivering music programmes and events in the UK to the people who need it most. Our mission is simple: to build an equitable music ecosystem for producers and artists.
